Mac Miller was good, especially his newer stuff. I like Aesop Rock but that's not my usual go-to soundscape. I also have a white work friend who raps who actually makes great hip hop music. But 99% of the time you are absolutely right.
I agree with all that, but I gotta add Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have some great stuff. GEMENI and BEN were trash, but before that there was some decent (anti-capitalist) stuff.
True, obv it’s not gatekept by the prerequisite that you have to a better rapper than Eminem if you’re white, but Lil Dicky and Vanilla Ice really made me skeptical of white rappers for years and years to come.

I like that he does R&B inspired stuff too, I appreciate that he was able fo separate himself from other types of rappers, he has a cool style.
