Is the idea to scare Europe so much that they keep the weapons for self defence and stop sending them to Ukraine? Or is one endless war simply not enough?

Interesting. So, in the current situation, Russia is allowing itself the luxury of increasing troop numbers elsewhere.

They are now only building infrastructure and don't have nearly as many troops deployed there. This gives more of an idea of what will happen after the war in Ukraine has ended.
