It's tough, because it seems like maybe this is a principled decision by Canada, but it's definitely not gonna play that way in the media:

The former Arsenal midfielder was charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault in July 2025 by the Metropolitan police and pleaded not guilty. Partey, who now plays for the Spanish club Villarreal, was subsequently charged with two new counts of rape in February and also pleaded not guilty.

I don't think I understand your point. Isn't the principle of Canada that they won't give a visa to someone who is charged with rape. Isn't that how it's playing out in the media?
