How do you think the polish got to Poland? They invaded Poland

Agent641@lemmy.world · 13 pts · 66d (1 reply)

Before the Poles invaded it was just called 'land'

One of your famous explanations would not go amiss here, @PugJesus@piefed.social :)

Lots of countries have invaded Poland.

Since Poland has spent considerable time under occupation, with foreign-based governments-in-exile, the argument can be made that there are times when the Polish government itself has invaded Poland (in order to liberate Poland).

Thanks!

With that kind of bullshit argumentation, you should've also made UK red (for they invaded occupied territories and even took control of a few Polish cities for a few years around 1920). And Belarus for help with Soviet invasion.

It is about XY invading Poland, not XY invading itself.

ThirdConsul@lemmy.zip · 0 pts · 66d (2 replies)

t is about XY invading Poland, not XY invading itself.

And I listed XY "invading" Poland, so what is your point?

some_random_nick@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 66d (1 reply)

You edited your comment to make it more clear what you were refering to. Mine is now obsolete.

ThirdConsul@lemmy.zip · 1 pts · 66d

I did, since if it apparently confused you it could've confused more people.

Amazing how many of these were just the 30 Years War.

When did Ukraine invade?

PugJesus@piefed.social · 7 pts · 66d (1 reply)

Probably during the Cossack Hetmanate or somesuch. Or the border disputes immediately following WW1.

TimeNaan@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 66d

Probably should've said "went to war with poland" and not "invaded"
