We need to make law enforcement require a degree, and there should be a 5 year wait between the military and accepting a LEO position.

I would also like to see a nationwide law enforcement license, with mandatory inclusion of disciplinary information, so an especially bad cop can’t just get a job in the next state.

Nationwide is key here. Too many times a problematic officer is retired early or simply transferred to another district/parish
