Price will go up? This means I can't go to Spain anymore for 20% the price an environmentally more friendly train ticket would cost? I can't live anymore

That's a good point, there's a clear benefit to having fewer people fly.

Airlines also argue that if they are actually expeected to fly people from one airport to the other, ticket prices will go up. In fact, if "passengers" could just simply stay at home and wire their money, ticket prices could go down by over 25%!

The compensation amounts have remained the same since 2004. Keeping with inflation they really should have been doubled by now to preserve the original intent of the law
