I see your frog, and match you a forg.

You shall obey. Look into my mouth...

At least he'll never have a problem watching what he eats.

No kidding right?! I'd love to see a video clip of one of these frogs catching a fly. Fastest tongue in the world I'd imagine...

Holy moly... such a... so so so poor creature...
I just... want to so carefully hug it so much...
It's so heartbreaking to see... no words...

Please... please... if reincarnation ever exists... I so hope you will appear a healthy, beautiful, and magnificent one... in the future...
Please do stay safe... dear wonderful creature... you do good already, and you will manage it!

This really is a rare genetic defect that can happen with frogs. Emphasis on rare, very rare...

The amazing part is that they even make it past the tadpole stage, they seem to survive just fine, despite their eyes being inside their mouth. Hell, they don't know any different than what they experience in life.

Live, adapt, overcome...

I love people who care about animals. Life is precious.

I say this not as an insult (I promise) but as a genuine question: Were you sober when you made this comment?

artwork@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 70d (1 reply)

No, but I had tears, and cannot even look at it right now, so I just respond to your comment.
A human with defects may at least be carried/supported by someone else, as another human...
This creature? The frog is alone... somewhere out there... and is captured in its defected body...
And... dear no one will able to help it... where you just hope... it has a family, and/or friends around...

Thanks for responding. I also feel sorry for this frog, and I am happy to see others in the thread saying that when frogs are randomly born like this they seem to do OK.

What a crazy deformation.

Don't (at least some) frogs use their eyes to swallow anyway? Like, when they close their eyes they get sucked into their head, which decreases the volume of the mouth, which pushes food into the throat?

That's not fair. You are cheating somehow. I just can't figure out how. /s
