Oh to be able to give up on responsibilities. To be the one taken care of instead of taking care. To have a thing over me that genuinely cared for my love and well-being.

I get the puppy girls

To have the burden of human expectations lifted, to have someone else who knows better, who can tell me what to do at every step, someone who I feel good obeying, someone who allows me to be less instead of having to keep being more and more...

As grim as it is, no wonder I ended up getting into the Mechsploitation genre lol

In the first half thought you were understanding how the rise of populism and autocracy happen

Now I'm interested because I, in fact, didn't.

Could I get an explanation or definition of mechsploitation? Its a new term for me, and im having a hard time finding it without going down a rabbit hole that wants me to read a lot of horny fiction. Which im not opposed to, but I can't right now.

TotallyWorthLife@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 65d (1 reply)

Well... I'm shit at explaining things, and what I'm gonna say isn't the full extent of it (as I have heard) but... basically mechas with extreme fucked up pet play between an officer (a Handler) and their Pilots (Hounds).

The Hounds are often (but not always) captured and brainwashed rebels stripped of most, if not all, of their humanity, reduced to barely-human obedient dogs (to the point of being conditioned to feel the need to wear their muzzles, and even have triggers that make them leave their humanity behind and go completely Hound temporarily) willing to be abused and obey even when part of their old selves comes out (sometimes deliberately pushing that old self deeper into oblivion per their Handler's orders).

There is the smutty parts that is Hounds literally fucking their Handler's boot like a dog fucking their owner's leg, or being offered as stress or sexual relief to others.

I'd say it's a lot about dehumanization, loss of self and of autonomy... and, from what I have heard, a kind of allegory for trans women, (something about how society often both fears us and makes us objects of pleasure, but never sees us as human).

There are also some characters some may relate to, to the point of wishing to be in their place even if it's suffering (I'm guilty of this). Not gonna ramble on my reasons like I was gonna, though.

We wouldn't have to eat Kraft Dinner...

But we still would eat Kraft Dinner, we'd just eat more!

maybe the reason I haven't achieved this is because I didn't get that degree. hmmm...

decipher_jeanne@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 12 pts · 67d

If you're like me it's because you got into kink during the part of the degree where your brain is breaking from stress but it turns out you really like it

LordAmplifier@pawb.social · 10 pts · 67d

What do you mean, this is literally the dream and I would give everything up to have it qwq

Smorty@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 8 pts · 67d (4 replies)

lime@feddit.nu · 13 pts · 67d (3 replies)

Smorty@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 8 pts · 67d (2 replies)

i feel like "having a degree" and being babied / puppied is comforting in a fun way.

TotallyWorthLife@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 67d

As someone about to get into uni, knowing my capabilities but being tired of it, it is... former gifted child to burned out tgirl to puppygirl who achieved a lot but who is finally allowed to have some of the burden of life lifted from her.

lime@feddit.nu · 3 pts · 67d

Add 2 diced up boiled eggs, 2 chopped up hotogs, sautéed spinach and you've got Puppy Pasta+

Honestly I feel quite jealous of the puppy girls who are capable to eat in a bowl for real because just the idea for even trying it if I find fond of it or not implies not only moving but also being able to cook, and be able to pay a rent at least which in my birder neet state I can't even think about it.
