Imagine going around selling some dragon on the streets of California to Kickstart your own label, then ending up authoring an entire music genre forever and in death.
Just goes to show you can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
If Weed played a part in N.W.A's success story than hand over the dutchie and consummate proposition 64 to make Eric The Easy Rider's legacy live on!

There was a movie about the formation of NWA that I watched a few years ago. I wish I could remember the name of it. It was really great and I learned a lot I didn't know about them. I'll try to think of the name and will update this comment if I can find it.
Edit - duh it was Straight Outta Compton of course. I highly recommend this film. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straight_Outta_Compton_(film)

If you want to see a similar one but east coast rap then you gotta watch Wu-Tang: An American Saga. It’s just as good.

Gotta watch that one.

That’s a wild ride and I think Beats by Dre being bought for $3.2B is possibly the craziest part.

Yep. The 80s and 90s music industry was pretty rough.
And especially nasty to black music artists not named Michael Jackson

But I have been reliably informed that weed is known to give a brother brain damage?

Just drives home that crime is the only way. Most of the time it ends up being a fee millionaire have to pay.
