I see this argument all the time but who really cares if they leave? Tear down their old mansions and build back affordable housing. Oh, they might take jobs with them. Well, the economy goes on and that product or service will still be needed. And the wealthy already export jobs to lower cost areas, so fuck 'em.
They will claim that they will, but in all the times I've seen where rich people claim they're going to leave, I've never seen them actually leave. I'd love for you to show me some statistics showing that a significant portion of rich people leave after they claim they will. Until then, I don't believe you.
