OK lemme ask you a dum question: when they say "that's life living in a small town", do they mean the person CURRENTLY lives in a small town selling jeans, or the person "GAVE UP" living in a small town and now sells jeans? And is selling jeans considered bad or stereotypical in some way? Or is it intentionally ambiguous? I feel there's some context related to small towns that I'm missing...
If there is I'm probably missing it a bit as well. Despite being in the Midwest and having a lot of family in small towns I grew up in one of the bigger Midwestern towns that isn't up north.
Though Denim and dungarees have a huge connection to cultures both North and South. It's just common atire in a lot of Southern United states. And then when you get to Canada well it's the Canadian tuxedo after all.
