I get what this comic is trying to do, but fuck it for its portrayal of wolves. Farmers and many others still routinely kill endangered wolf species who rarely if ever go after livestock.
Depends largely on the wolf, the location, and the availability of food away from the farm. Most animals are lazy by their nature, but Russia still has a huge issue with wolves killing livestock, but also has nothing approaching a shortage of wolves.
Have a word with Swiss farmers, where the wolf was reintroduced and protected against their will. Wolves kill cattle, not to nourish themselves, but a lot of the time simply as a “game.” They will kill way more than they can eat, and let the animals in a terrible, horrible state.

Feels like white gaze / whitewashing racism. Sheep come in many colors. That's fundamental to how these politics work.
