I know a lot of idiots who have nothing but love capitalism. But their parents have money and they themselves are privileged aryans who get everything they wish for without having any skills or knowledge about anything. That's why they fight for the patriarchy and repression of minorities. Their privileges would be taken away and they would have to compete in the capitalist "free market", which is fucking impossible without aryan privilege (believe me I know, I'm autistic(I know how much human rights I lose by letting people know I'm a minority)).
Even if the assets aren't in their name, they're living a life of privilege and undoubtedly will inherit or expect to inherit a large sum when their parents die. If they suddenly found themselves on the street, I wonder how many would change their tune, and how quickly.

I suspect that people, if they become conservative, do so as they accumulate wealth which often, but not always, correlates with age.
I would like to see a study on whether political attitudes remain consistent when material conditions change, which I think would be more interesting.
