How much power for how much money?

I don't know, it's a new product, but I think it depends of how it evolve and is optimized in the future. The first solar panels also had few power and a cost of an kidney and half.

And there have been a huge amount of energy startups that failed and went nowhere in the past decade especially, all taking a lot of investors money with them.

Great if it works, but odds are it won't.

There are also energy startups which failed because some energy lobbies politicians couldn't permit it.

Probably, but difficult to prove, and certainly less so in UK/Europe than in the US.
