Or have low blood pressure, low blood sugar, are affected by some types of medication (some antidepressants, muscle relaxers, etc)… if it’s new talk to your doctor, but it’s probably easy to deal with. I got told to eat more salt to deal with it, since I already stay pretty hydrated.
Second this. I drink like a fish, even water sometimes (/s), and still sometimes feel like the grim reaper’s looking at my report card when I stand up too fast.
it also just depends on how you sit. if you are sitting upright and more elongated, it shouldn't happen. very different from say, sitting on the floor or squatting or sitting with a position where you legs are elevated to be the same height as your torso or higher.
your BP drops because all the sudden because heart has to fight gravity when it wasn't doing it before.
I have low blood pressure and am fairly tall so this happens most times I get up. Some times I black out completely and hit the deck.
A doctor said it's a good thing because by the time I'm old, my blood pressure will be like a normal adult and risk of stroke will be basically nothing. I just got to make it there without splitting my head open.
Yeah, that gets done every so often in my check ups. Usually an "in case we missed it last time" thing.
Dunno why someone downvoted you; POTS is common and one of the key symptoms is black outs getting up too quickly. It's kinda like that with and fatigue or dizziness/balance, you get checked.
It's called orthostatic hypotension and the easiest way to combat the blackout effect is by squeezing your leg and butt muscles as you get up. It keeps more blood in your head that way. It's the same principle as the high g suits fighter pilots wear when doing combat maneuvers.

If your heart bpm increases by 20 when standing, get checked for POTS. This is not normally

That blood deprivation where I don't have the cognitive functionality to be miserable is the best few seconds of the day.

Hey, at least the warning panel is still there, and you can see it.
It can, in fact, always be worse.
