As an Orthodox Christian, American Evangelicalism seems like a completely different religion. One American pastor explained the Beatitudes to his congregation, and after the sermon, he was told it was "woke." But that's directly from the Bible! If you think the bible is woke then you're not a christian.

Its not the same religion it was changed starting in the late 1920s by an efforts of National Association of Manufacturers and Rev James Fifield Jr As a response to RDR and the New Deal and Churches at the time adopting Socialist practices to help their communities.
