I mean yeah, China does genocide on the side and tries to hide it, Israel does it as its main job and is proud of it.

Destroying an entire culture is genocide, regardless of the body count.

At this point you can't really blame people in China currently for the old 60s great leap forward famine, it's been a long time.

1000 people is generally enough provided it's a representative sample.
