First of all, I don’t see how this could really mean anything in regards to a PlayStation handheld when this chip seems equally useful for laptops and pc based handhelds.
I’d only be interested in a PlayStation handheld if it was significantly cheaper than pc based equivalents, and if they took physical media (not happening). If that was the case, I could use it without connecting to the internet or updating firmware, and hope somebody figures out how to crack it. And it would satisfy a bit of my psp nostalgia.
So that was a long way of saying I’m probably not interested and it probably doesn't make any sense compared to Linux alternatives. But the chip itself seems like a good thing.
