At one company I worked at for 3 years I found out the new hires that I was training were making 15% more than me. HR refused to adjust my pay because “the pay of your peers has no relation to your pay rate”. So I spent a couple weeks finding a new job while documenting nothing I was working on, then took two weeks off and then handed in my two weeks once that was approved.
I’ve gotten a mouthful of it syphoning it from one tank to another. Not only does it smell great, but it tastes better than most cheap liquors, and some expensive ones don’t drink it though
Kind of a lot of stuff, but I like to go on very long rides and usually end up on some gravel even on my road bike, and I’ve been caught out with two flat tires and only one spare before…
Depends who we’re afraid of here. Are we afraid of whoever lost the suitcase full of money, or the government, or both?
I’d assume whoever ditched a suitcase of money is a criminal, and unlikely to report it as lost with the serial numbers of the banknotes.
In that case I’d just use it for some day-to-day stuff, small luxuries, and whatever crap I want on Facebook marketplace that doesn’t need to be registered.
If I was convinced these banknotes came from a bank robbery or something of the sort, I think I’d only use it at somewhat sketchy looking flea markets / swap meets, and on holiday in foreign countries. But in that case it would be very hard to ever use all of it without trying to get a suspicious amount of cash through TSA and past customs.
That much room for cars on a little island is insane. Seems like the ideal situation for 2 wheel locomotion, with maybe just a few microcars for people/businesses/services that really need them.
Would also help them with energy independence. It doesn’t take much solar to charge e-bikes or e-motos. Currently they’re nearly 100% fossil fuels. And the island is only 20 miles long at most, range isn’t massively important.
I’m interested in 32”, but absolutely not throwing down the cash until I can at least demo one.
But I think I’m more interested in 32 for full rigid bikes. Maybe a very short travel XC? Like 60mm travel like you see on some gravel bikes. But that seems very niche.
FINALLY finished Xenoblade Chronicles 3, after 190 hours of game time. Might sound crazy, but I struggle to give it even a 5/10. It feels like Xenoblade without the magic of the first two. I really didn’t enjoy the story, and never really connected with the main cast. I did like some of the “Heroes”, but you run out of interactions with them pretty fast. None of the colonies or the city felt nearly as fantastical or even alive as some of the locales in the first two games. There was some cool geography, but it didn’t feel like the game really did anything with it, other than just having you walk through it. Again, it just doesn’t feel very alive.
Still I kept going in hopes it would redeem itself, since I loved the first two so much. But that time never came, and I found the ending deeply unsatisfying.
As for this month, I’m play Horizon Zero Dawn right now, but still planning on starting Trails of Cold Steel this month. Or maybe the FF7 remakes. We’ll see
Dolphin was a pretty mixed bag at the time. I got through Xenoblade Chronicles on that system, but I remember one of the regions on the mechonis(?) would only do like 7fps at best, but other areas would do 20-30. But monkeyball worked pretty well, as did some of the other GameCube games.
But I was using that system when Sandy Bridge was already out, and still using it when Haswell came out, because I was a broke student. So the software may have been a little more developed than when you were messing around with it.
Also I don’t think the e8400, or any of the core 2 duo/quad cpu’s had hyperthreading. I know the Pentium 4 had it, not sure about the Pentium D
I’m pretty sure I got through persona 3 on that core 2 system. Either an e8400 or q6600. I swapped back and forth a couple times because turns out quad core wasn’t a straight upgrade at the time.
Also, thats the first time I’ve looked at the recommended specs in a long time. They’re reasonable, but man I remember running pcsx2 on a Core 2 Duo back in the day lol

Yeah there are a few, but they’re far smaller than Nassau, and with tiny populations. I’ve been to one, Daufuskie Island in SC. It’s a tourist trap.

But unless your commute is miles of washboard roads, I’d be very surprised if it made a difference in comfort compared to 29
I think you mean a team of engineers had to make all the actual car bits work inside of that thing that some designer drew and business approved.

And they still make some pretty great bicycle tires that come in a little cheaper than similar tires
