It's an anti-soulslike, I suppose. You are the final boss, and the hero is a pathetic little mortal that you crush with one swing of your fell weapon. Except they just keep coming back, and they keep learning your tricks
It's a very short game, maybe half an hour to play through. I had fun with it
Available on itch.io (pay what you want) and Steam (currently half price)

I liked the detail that they're not just throwing themselves at you over and over, but actually went back and reexplored the world to find better equipment.

Yeah, that was great!
::: spoiler Spoilered for the benefit of anyone that hasn't played The run where they get lazy really caught me off guard. For just a moment I thought that I had figured something out, but no, the player was just being like me after a few too many runs at a boss in a soulslike :::

I'm interested in the idea, the perspective shift sounds like it has potential but half an hour is just not enough to get me to buy it. I struggle to see how you have enough time to actually do something in terms of narrative and character development in that short of a playtime.

It's definitely more like a short interactive art piece than an actual game. There's no winning it. But the itch.io link is pay what you want, which I believe includes paying nothing, so the author is fine with that
