Meanwhile the president has a rape conviction, Biden had a harasment allegation, and no charges have been brought from the epstein files.
People shouldn't take a rape allegation lightly, and its a shame that we so often do.

Meanwhile, the president raped children and still has not been held accountable for fucking kids.

I am so let down about this.

Of course it comes out after the primary.
I think it's pretty unwise to blindly trust accusations like this, and there has clearly been astroturfing for and against this guy. Politico's evidence when this story broke is her testimony, corroboration that she told this story to a third party, and that she went to therapy for it? I don't think that alone is enough to jump to the conclusion this happened, but I also don't know how you could prove this either way.
Pragmatically, if this seat ends up being the difference between a GOP controlled house and a Democratic controlled one, they gotta make a call soon to replace this guy if there's even a shred of truth to it. But the timing and obvious political motivations gives me pause that this is substantial.

So very strange that people are just jumping on this obvious false flag operation.

I agree. They (establishment democrats or republicans) learned from the late stage Biden fiasco on how best to disrupt an election to retain/gain power and it's happening again. All these last minute accusations seems fishy. The guy has been in the spotlight and in the running for over a year now and they wait to go public until now?

I don't want to completely dismiss it but it certainly feels that way to me.

I have defended Platner in the past, saying that he had likely changed. And maybe he has changed, but what is clear now is that he hasnt changed enough. A rape allegation at any point should cost him the election anyways. But paired with the fact he refuses to take accountability, and the fact this was in 2021 which is after his change in beliefs, it adds a lot of weight to the accusations that he hasnt changed at all.
Whether or not he has changed is irrelevant to me now. Rapists, reformed or not (which Platner is not due to not taking accountability), should not hold power. Platner needs to drop out immediately.
