Russia is saber rattling at Poland. Probably for this very reason, and Germany fell for it.
Russia is on their back foot, I think Europe would do well to go all-in supporting Ukraine and enforcing sanctions and end the war that way.

To be honest, the Taurus for me has a Wunderwaffe vibe. "oh no, it's like, super powerful, we can't hand it off, because it is so complex and powerful,but also super strong, I swear."

Sarcasm asides, this is not really as scandalous or surprising or anything as the article frames it. A proposition initiated by opposition parties don't often get accepted. Best case the proposition gets altered more or less and is reinitiated by a governing party, and that is generally so, this is no exception.
