This is a still from RoboCop 2 (1990), not a research lab or something. As of today, there is no known way to 'keep someone alive' like that.
I know, that is why I said 'theoretically' instead of 'there are people living like this'
This is about as theoretical possible as warp based faster than light travel.
Maybe it could work, but today it's sci-fi
