The interceptor looks like it cost 20x the uav, ugh

The missile costs ~$56K, which is roughly the same cost as an upgraded Shahed. The UAV in the video appears to be either a Shahed or Gerbera ($10K Shahed decoy).

For real? Must be locally manufactured in Ukraine, I'm guessing.

Absolutely zero chance an American or European contractor could build that rocket for $60K, surely?

Could they build it for 60k or less? Probably.

Would they actually sell the damn thing for less than six digits? I’m skeptical.

Germany would spend $60K just on the export paperwork.

The war is really showing us how much we've been conned, lobbied, and bribed by our respective MICs into paying too much money for overly expensive and ineffective boondoggles.

How much is life? That drone is death.

eestileib@sh.itjust.works · 7 pts · 61d (1 reply)

I'm not criticizing the use of the interceptor I'm bemoaning the attacker advantage.

Agreed. Very true.

Am I the only one that thinks this looks a little like AI? That is a LOT of sunflowers ... they look perfect.

Burstar@sopuli.xyz · 1 pts · 60d

It helps they are getting tons of fertilizer. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

You don't expect a lot of sunflowers on a sunflower field?
