Otto is more polite than my dog was. Mostly he'd stay in it when told to, but if he really wanted out he'd wait until you left the room, then physically force his body between two bars, leaving the door latched.
It was very confusing the first time we took him back from a breakout attempt and the crate appeared to be intact and secure.
