The problem is that when it follows directions, those giving the directions haven't given any thought to the scope of what it's capable of or what it has access to. So they give directions that are incomplete or open ended, and add no constraints. if it hallucinates usually that involves its output to the user which almost always means the user has to be able to understand what the output should be and therefore be able to vet the answer given.
The people leading the push for his prosecution are very much out of touch with that reality though. Cops and prosecutors have some of the best healthcare in the country.

Socially there is the potential for some lack of social skill development. But on the other hand, Autistic people generally don't have the same social skill building or the same social norms as neurotupical people so what you are experiencing may just be that on top of societal pressures.
All that being said, no one is the same. If (when societal pressure is removed) you are okay with your place in life and how you're living it, that should be enough of a reason to not worry about it (I know that anxiety can play a role in whether or not you actually can "not worry").
I would say you're doing the best you can, but if there is something you personally want to get better at (social communication etc) then I think there's no reason not to work on that.
I'm high masking. People generally only find me off putting after prolonged exposure to me where they start to see my mask slip. I have a hard time being articulate mostly at times where there's a high stress high emotional environment. I lived at home with my parents til my mid twenties when I joined the military. I have a younger brother with more severe and debilitating autism and he needs constant care. But my parents are divorced now and neither of them is in a situation where if I went back I could do much to help. All that to say I'm not exactly in the same boat but I don't think you're doing anything wrong.

Yeah but they aren't a printer or a publisher in their own right. They're a distributor and that's a lot of the problem.
They would need a legal agreement to do that and that would cost money and time and possibly make them liable for using the data to train AI so they aren't going to do that.

What makes you think creatives don't benefit? I think it depends on what it is and who publishes the thing. Lots of Indie game developers do benefit from purchases of their games. There are entities that tend to benefit more (publishers, store fronts, etc), but that doesn't mean that the people who made the game don't benefit.
It's the same with music. Labels definitely benefit more. Streaming services benefit more. But at the same time that doesn't mean the artist who made the music doesn't benefit.
I think people should be paid for their work. I was happy to pay for music and movies and games. But I am not going to pay for something just to have it ripped away at a moments notice just because of corporate greed.
