In an effort to smear the Democratic Party on The Five, Fox News host Kaleigh McEnany explained to their viewers how the Republican party is a Christian nationalism cult, and nothing less is acceptable that Fox News promotes.
With the success of AOC, Mayor Mamdani, Bernie Sanders, and others, while Trump and the GOP flame out destroying US sustainability, affordability and health care , Republicans and Fox News at turning towards 1950's John Birch society red-meat garbage to use in hopes these smears will help them in the 2026 midterms.
People are so frustrated with the state of this country that they're open up to some new ideas. That is like poison to Fox News and the MAGA cult.

Getting rid of the Senate or electoral college is supposed to be “bad”?

Yes. If you want to win at all costs losing them is a serious setback.

Hasn't Fox News (or "Faux News") always just been the propaganda machine for the Republicans?
And haven't the Republicans always been aligned with "Christian values" to a greater or lesser extent (at least conservatives have, so also to mean the Democrats before the two parties swapped ideologies)?
So it makes sense that Fox News would espouse the same views the Republicans do since propping them up is basically the whole reason they exist.
Do people in the US not realise this?

Faux's target audience doesn't. Intentionally so.

The Handmaid's Tale is a history book. Atwood just wrote it 40 years ahead of time.

Atwood has said many times that there isn't anything in the book that hasn't already happened in human history.
