Merz is so unpopular, he is both hated by the left and the right. Pretty much everyone dislikes him, apart from the Boomers retirees, I guess. But even among those groups there are some who start turning on him, I think.
He wants to turn Germany into the japan/UK model, where the country is just full of corruption and runs on financial engineering crap that only benefits the rich.
German landlords are so greedy that after buying up foreign asset markets they try turning the domestic market by any means as well although it is export oriented
