I mean if it works as they claim, entirely locally, that's not nearly as horrible as it could be. I can totally understand the concept and usefulness, and it's entirely one of the few types of things that smart glasses could be useful for. Match a face to a contact on my phone, maybe bring up some notes I typed in about them earlier.

But this semantic pinball bullshit by the execs is pure bullshit. And, of course, it's Meta. Why anyone would trust a single statement from them is beyond me.
