Need Clancy Brown in here.

ummthatguy@lemmy.world · 24 pts · 27d (12 replies)

Already there as an equally shady character.

raspberry_confetti@lemmy.ml · 23 pts · 27d (3 replies)

I'm convinced Archer is just Sam Beckett from Quantum Leap, trying to figure out what he has to do to make the next leap and getting increasingly frustrated that all his ideas aren't working.

Proof:

WhoIzDisIz@lemmy.today · 9 pts · 27d

Oh, I'd watch the hell outta that show! Can just see Archer stuck in Sam's shoes ..

aaaa@piefed.world · 7 pts · 27d

He should never have let Zygy go

WhoIzDisIz@lemmy.today · 5 pts · 27d (7 replies)

Yeah, but he'd be perfect for the badmiralship. So there are two people who happen to have extremely similar physical characteristics many decades apart - it's not like doppelgangers don't already exist.

Those people in the base meme are all actually played by jeffrey combs.

WhoIzDisIz@lemmy.today · 13 pts · 27d (4 replies)

weyoun is a shapeshifter, it makes sense.

hakunawazo@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 27d (1 reply)

He could do that with a combadge:

crimson_iris@piefed.social · 7 pts · 26d

The enemy can't fire phasers if you disable his hand.

Defending Section 31:

Sam Rockwell.

So long as he gets a dance number in there somewhere.

Admiral #6 Guy Fleegman

There's no way Tennant's hair in there is regulation. Shit they wouldn't even give Ro a religious or cultural exception for her earring! I'm pretty sure it drove her to terrorism if I recall correctly.

ummthatguy@lemmy.world · 22 pts · 27d (8 replies)

Bald Tennant is a bit too Lex Luthor.

MadMadBunny@lemmy.ca · 8 pts · 27d (6 replies)

Baldmiral Who.

ummthatguy@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 27d (5 replies)

His TARDIS is just the Guardian of Forever.

Tollana1234567@lemmy.today · 2 pts · 27d (4 replies)

less powerful version, since the tardis cant travel between universes easily, or other realities.

JustAnotherKay@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 26d (3 replies)

It can typically, as discussed in season 2 or 3 when they accidentally end up in a parallel universe - but during the time war they closed off those paths or something? I dunno I haven’t watched those episodes in a year lol

Tollana1234567@lemmy.today · 2 pts · 26d (2 replies)

yea it was the dalek that created the void ship, which was in the void between universes, so they weakened the barriers, then the cyberman followed the dalkes to the prime universe and used a combination of tech to fully break down the wall between universes, until the doc fixes it in the next epsiodes. at least they dint go full multiverse trope.

Nice man, you really know your Dr. Who

Angryhumanoid@fedinsfw.app · 3 pts · 27d

Nicholas Hoult is one of my all time favorite actors, but I will take Tennant in a frickin HEARTBEAT.

SatyrSack@quokk.au · 4 pts · 27d (2 replies)

Michael's luscious locks were far more egregious than that in some seasons. I remember scenes where she is in hand-to-hand combat and her long hair is whipping around, getting in the way. No way that is practical.

ummthatguy@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 27d

Her hair didn't get long until some time after they'd jumped to the 32nd century. By then, I imagine a lot of regulations went by the wayside for the sake of recruitment. Though, I do still stand by your argument. Impractical to various faults.

Angryhumanoid@fedinsfw.app · 1 pts · 26d

I'm sorry, I can only accept Star Trek shows that are canon in this argument like The Orville, or Galaxy Quest.

Taleya@aussie.zone · 8 pts · 26d

Tennant good...but what if capaldi

FordBeeblebrox@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 27d

Christoph Waltz

Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 27d (1 reply)

How about some Tim Robbins.

ummthatguy@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 27d

As long as it's crazy Tim Robbins from Pick of Destiny.

Australis13@fedia.io · 6 pts · 27d

Charles Dance (who also would make an excellent Master in Doctor Who).

deadbeef79000@lemmy.nz · 4 pts · 27d

Brendan Gleeson

Tollana1234567@lemmy.today · 3 pts · 26d

glenn close would be like admiral neyachek, her role in damages is her being very indifferent when she goes after people,

Tollana1234567@lemmy.today · 3 pts · 27d

walken would be a headless horseman that keeps coming back to life.
