All is well :)

That was an unpleasant experience.

Seagoon_@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 34d

SpinMeAround@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 34d

I feed my cats the brand Fussy Cat.

It's best quality. Today they decided it's not good enough.

Is there a cat food called Fussy Bastard

Taleya@aussie.zone · 5 pts · 34d (1 reply)

I get a couple brands - some purina, some applaws, some fussy cat, etc. A box of each. Mix them up and alternate. Keeps them off guard

Seagoon_@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 34d

I do same!!

they just fussy bastards

SaneMartigan@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 34d

My partner's cats get raw kangaroo mince too. Does it get fancier than just meat?

Thornburywitch@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 34d (1 reply)

Kibble only until they realise just how lucky they usually are. They will not starve.

Seagoon_@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 34d

Ted is still Chomk , Bill has become Fine Boi

mertn22@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 33d

Cole's tinned tuna chunks in brine go down really well with my cat. Cheaper by the tin than cat food. Mostly she just gets quality kibble for a balanced diet. The maggies eat probably a 1/3 of that.

Spent the afternoon having to remind myself that Other Adults are responsible for regulating Their Own Responses, it is Not My Responsibility. And BIG EMOTIONS were being had today.

Fuck the wine, I'm going straight for the vodka. Regulate that.

Catfish@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 33d

Meep. Lottie the saurus and I are in the same corner.

mertn22@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 33d

I hope you are feeling better after a few. Vodka here is regulated to 75mL or 1 litre. Other countries sell it by the gallon.

Great aunt flexing on seagoon :)

Decided to pull some of her beach combing stuff out and think about displaying it. She was a spinster, teacher and hit the beach every day in Warrnambool, very kind woman. I remember packing all of this away when she passed many moons ago as a kid.

Seagoon_@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 34d

Oh wow, this is a beautiful ( and valuable ) collection. The necklace looks like a real traditional rare First Australian necklace. It may be very old. They all deserve to be displayed. ๐Ÿ˜Š

and thanks for showing it all to us. ๐Ÿ˜ฝ

Might get my results today. We'll see.

Burning shit today:

Always pretty.

Still have eyebrows so that's positive. CO2 in the atmosphere not so much.

RustyRaven@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 34d

Is it even a proper burnoff if you don't either singe the eyebrows or end up with a visit from the fire brigade?

I would't worry about the CO2 from it too much, if you used it as mulched or composted it the same amount of CO2 would be released, just over a bit longer timeframe. The small particle polution on the other hand, that can be a bit of a problem. Although only really in aggregate with lots of people doing it.

Where's the marshmallows?

Bottom_racer@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 34d (3 replies)

Nice beams!

Bottom_racer@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 33d (5 replies)

Still going through great aunt's shit

I would like to know the story behind these:

Something tells me don't ask.

Catfish@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 33d

It's going to be unpleasant, those aren't a modern recreational sort. I can't tell from that pic if the lock pins are there or not. Do not attempt cleaning yourself if wishing to sell as an antique.

Seagoon_@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 33d

those are really old, like over 100 years old

SpinMeAround@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 33d

Hopefully it involved a safe word.

TheWitchofThornbury2@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 33d

Previous comment was that she was a teacher - probably confiscated from a pupil ... well, we can hope.

CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 33d

Maybe she was keeping a prisoner in the back shed.

Itโ€™s the night of the year 11 formal and thereโ€™s pregame at my place. Iโ€™m hiding my beer.

Bottom_racer@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 34d

Iโ€™m hiding my beer

Give it less than a year they'll find it.

imoldgreeeg@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 34d

Still on holiday. Have been pretty active and social the last few days so having a quiet life thinking and reading day. And some phone admin to completely separate work and personal stuff on my phone. It's nice to do little things and tick unkaos boxes

useless_modern_god@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 34d (2 replies)

Oh man that gas bill killing me.

CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 34d (1 reply)

Ducted heating? Open plan house?

useless_modern_god@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 34d

Yeah itโ€™s all due to a big gas powered boiler running a hydronic system on both levels of the house. The heated floors are fucking sweet but thereโ€™s obviously a financial shockwave that comes round a couple times a year haha.

Seagoon_@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 34d

24 hours in of listening to the biography of John Le Carre. I am starting to have opinions. 4 hours to go, then the scathing review will commence.

he is no Graham Greene, never was , he isn't even Holly Martins

Seagoon_@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 34d

Today I bought 3 antiques from the opshop, an ink bottle from about 1900 and 2 Czech glass necklaces from the 1930s, a simple opal glass festoon and a crystal beads on silk. all up, $15- They are not valuable , would not have been fancy or expensive when new, this was from Footscray and Footscray has always been poorer. But they are sweet and pretty and I think loved as people kept them for 100 years.

RustyRaven@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 34d

Shopping is complete: new glasses picked up, plus a few things from NQR and Shepp cannery outlet. Hopefully this means I can avoid having to do any further in person shopping for at least a couple of months.

Seagoon_@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 34d

I need a walk down the beach.

Seagoon_@aussie.zone · 1 pts · 33d

It's super late.

Good night everyone, sweet dreams. ๐Ÿ˜ฝ
