I'm not sure what to call this one, but I've had variations of this creamy oatmeal for about a year

It works well with single/double cream or mascarpone, and raspberry jam, applesauce and blueberry jam

The fat content is important to the taste and texture. If I only put milk, it becomes a lesser version that I could not eat every day. I'm not sure if the cholesterol reducing properties of the beta-glucan in the oatmeal wins over the dairy though

I mean shit, you put mascarpone and jam on most anything and it's gonna be delicious.

Idk a proper name for it, but it looks delicious.

The good news, is that unless you are a "hyper-absorber" of cholesterol or have a bad liver, dietary cholesterol has very little effect on your blood cholesterol. As long as you are consuming an overall good diet and are fairly active, you can enjoy all the cream that you want.

with oats I prefer apple, raison, cinnamen type stuff. Want it to be more hardy. For this type of stuff I like to go with grits.
