Linuxsucks advertises Haiku (an OS which barely runs outside of VM's) as better hardware compatibility than "niche" Linux OS's for lightweight systems
And a heavily modified Windows OS, where people can't run a lot of apps anyway like quicken (because critical components were removed), and updates are sometimes reinstalling all the apps which were removed. Furthermore, its actively discouraged by Microsoft
Not sure which "niche" linux distro's are being pushed by "evangelists". Kind of seems like an imaginary issue, as distro's like Lubuntu are generally recommended and have excellent compatibility.

Jeez. There is a lot to unpack with that image.
I suspect Haiku and Tiny11/Tiny10 only appeared in that image because he prompted the image generator with something like "'versus' image pitting obscure Linux distros where everything's broken against Minimal Windows alternatives where everything works great".
I'm kindof curious what Madthumbs uses. I can't imagine they've ever used Haiku or Tiny10/Tiny11, and if they did, I can't imagine they've ever used any of those as a daily driver. I dunno. If @madthumbs@lemmy.world wants to come and correct me on that, I'd be interested to hear it.
Also, what qualifies as an "obscure" distro exactly? I'm sure they'd consider my beloved Gentoo to be "obscure". Lol.
And does Madthumbs advocate in favor of Hurd? If Haiku barely runs outside of a VM, Hurd isn't that far behind.
