My Jeep has needed thousands of dollars of repairs in the last year alone.
And, I gave a trailseeker a go a week ago, and it's a much better car than a lot of the hybrid and ice cars I tested
Seen lots of issues with other jeeps and even ford Rangers too. ICE is hot garbage.
The crazy part is that ice manufacturers aren't doing ota updates, and a lot of cars can be stolen in a few seconds because they aren't fixing major vulnerabilities these updates could bring.. But people like yourself probably just blame the government because the manufacturers aren't fixing the bugs anymore. Whereas, OTA is common on EVs.
Also ICE, generally can't (ironically) do things like de-ice in the morning before you start the car and heat ice cars in advance too in the morning. Not unless you want a flat battery or a garage full of Carbon monoxide
I hate to agree.. Also, we full of too many dickheads here who want to be portrayed as badass. Even absolutely stupid things like mental checks for gun owners, a lot of our local bogans lose their minds
Your post is just year of the Linux. No desktop mention
FreeBSD has issues with even basic things like Audio compatibility at the moment: https://www.phoronix.com/news/Tragic-FreeBSD-Audio-Support . For a guy who argues linux sucks at games, you sure seem okay with being unable to play them on FreeBSD lol
Busy polling affects Low-latency, high-traffic Datacentres ONLY (not even VPS or shared servers). It works by using 100% CPU the entire time. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43749271 . Wall street I'm sure will be happy they can improve their latency by 1ns on trades (and I assume some caching servers).
Linux does not expect ECC memory any more or less than any other OS on the desktop. That's mostly crap.
Even my Mac Pro required Fully buffered ECC Ram to operate at all (same as Xserve's)... All workstation level systems generally do. Even Apple knows they need it.
BtrFS and ZFS both have full checksums built into the OS (if you're referring to filesystems). Both are available in Linux. It isn't baked into NTFS directly, or AFS. Even with that, ECC memory is recommended anyway.
There is nothing magical that can stop Bit flips (even a Mars rover was affected). Unless you build a 1m concrete wall around your computer to stop gamma rays.
Super computers and servers absolutely matter, because they require proof of scalability.
Android Phones, Samsung TV's, Hisense Vidaa, synology, android TV's all use linux and non-ecc ram.
I'd love to know where this ECC claim comes from. More misinterpreted data I assume..
I'm convinced that at least some of the Aussie subreddits have a lot of "contributions" from lobbyists. As, I quite often see things that don't seem Australian.. Like a lot of weird pro-gun stuff that in Australia we don't have in our culture.
It's already year of linux on everything else from mobile devices, VR (meta quest) to servers.
I don't think its year of the linux desktop, but, as people try to become more independent, there will certainly be a push. Countries like China in the government already apparently use Linux
And, there is hopefully a bigger push for SteamOS based gaming handheld consoles. GOG integration with SteamOS would be awesome too
I use Fedora for work. One piece of software I have won't run in wine though, because it does some weird SSL certificate stuff. So, I still need virtual machine manager. but, everything else, including compiling I updated our build tools to work properly in linux.
Fortunately, no smart cards or anything though, and unmanaged system
Everyone should have lost confidence when they handed out the peace prize.
That was completely f**ked
Even if you ignore anything else, just speak to ANY mountaineer, and they'll all tell you that glaciers are drying up
It's not like nobody mentioned that renewables were great for energy independence
If you're like me and press up to run a previous command from history, you're definitely toasting your system eventually accidentally

Yeah. They have to. And if they do, she's royally f'ed. Trump has a long list of people who took the fall defending him
Pam Bondi is facing an ethics complaint by the bar already...
I hate to agree.. Also, we full of too many dickheads here who want to be portrayed as badass. Even absolutely stupid things like mental checks for gun owners, a lot of our local bogans lose their minds
Can be fully disabled anyway.
He should put them on that absolutely trash ebike too he pulled apart
We really need to ban this shit here in Australia too.
Especially horse racing
If she's asked by the court, she needs to respond honestly.
Trump doesn't control the bar association.
She can't lie to court. It's perjury.
It's self interest. She knows she'll go to jail if she lies
Of course he is. No woman can resist a guy who uses Fedora
Linus would be out... He uses Fedora

I'd rather not have them here.

Same people saying this as the people who said elderly people won't survive without plastic bags

The problem isn't that it's anti Linux. it's not a community, it's a personal blog pretending to be one..
It has a few similarities already to subreddits like thedonald
