i knew brown bears were in ireland at some point, from the bear patella found in gwendoline cave in clare, but i'd no idea they were here as recently as 3k years ago!
newgrange could've had brown bears hanging around it for 2 thousand years before the bears went ar shlí na fírinne 🤯
