they are indeed functional, just not really useful! the small one is from a ThinkPad T420 i pulled from my old ThinkPad cluster when i retired it, the big one is a PowerEdge T610 (2x Xeon X5690) which works just fine but pulls enough power to heat a small house while being easily outperformed by my Zen 2 laptop.
my PowerEdge T620 will join the wall whenever i decide to retire it, but it's got at least another few years left in it :3
