There is nothing they won't destroy in the pursuit of owning everything. If they can't own it or it doesn't benefit them, they will destroy it and bleed out any value that's left.

I've started buying used textbooks and guidebooks because Google search is shitting the bed unbelievably badly and search results are usually SEO AI Slop and now tech companies are taking that away from me!?
If you take all my access to knowledge away I am going to start burning down datacenters. That is how this works.

LWer: what if the LLM book-shredders would do the exact thing they'd get sued to death for if they didn't shred the books? Then maybe people wouldn't be so mad at them for shredding books!
