WWE and SiriusXM announced the launch of WWE Radio, which will begin airing July 27 on channel 156 and the SiriusXM app. WWE Radio will replace Pro Wrestling Nation 24/7 on the same channel.
WWE Radio will provide play-by-play audio coverage of WWE premium live events. Vic Joseph and Booker T will call it for radio and other programming.
The channel will also feature WWE podcasts, such as Cody Rhodes’ “What Do You Want To Talk About?” and Stephanie McMahon’s “What’s Your Story?” It will also feature daily shows, such as “Busted Open,” “Notsam Wrestling Live” and “Cheap Heat Live,” shows whose hosts (Dave LaGreca, Sam Roberts and Peter Rosenberg) have appeared on WWE programming.
The launch of WWE Radio came on the same week Jim Ross called out shows like “Busted Open” for being a “WWE infomercial” due to how often they talk about WWE and the lack of coverage of other wrestling promotions.
WWE also has made content partnerships with Spotify and Front Office Sports in recent years.

I kind of ignored this story at first until I heard that it's replacing a channel that covers pro wrestling in general. I'm not surprised WWE would do something like this, but it still sucks that they are.

Guessing TK won't be showing up on Busted Open anymore.

I appreciate all the contributions Booker has made to wrestling, except his commentary.
His voice is grating and he screams too much. I don’t think I could stand listening to radio show with Booker tbh.

Thunder Rosa announced she's left Busted Open. Only cool WWE kids allowed on the radio now.

aew should bring back a form of wcw live to the website in real audio format and do some audio only broadcasts of events.

So... Did JR get a heads up about this which prompted his statement or was it just a crazy coincidence? Either way he wasn't wrong and now it's going to get worse.

I can't think if what JR statement you're talking about but I'm sure he was around WWE long enough to get a feel for what they'd want to get their fingers into, even if the leadership has changed.
