Shame about Graupner being a maga transphobe. Used to listen to straight up otter time a bit and mix it in with The Chemical Brothers salmon dance every once in awhile in sets. And some of his other screamy video game shit was funny every once in awhile. Although none of it was superior to the collaboration he did with Matt.
On the subject of the link. I of course knew about Ted phelps. Friends helped fund his GoFundMe when he was in the hospital years back. Then he kind of had a mental breakdown freaked out and went maga himself. Heh but somehow I forgot about the whole deal with Funker Vogt. 🤮 Though I never listened to them much before. I may be continuing the trend with that.
Also I want to point out. This isn't to attack anyone for liking, listening to, or posting the music. Just a bit of PSA and conversation. As well as a reminder to not put people on a pedestal. Because they are just people after all. Well except maybe for Matt. We can make an exception for him.

No worries. I keep hoping they come around eventually. Though I doubt imperative reaction will ever reform after all this. And that's a shame. I enjoyed the music and it made for a good synonym block in any set I did. Following up Necessary Response with Imperative Reaction. Kind of like the etiquette blocks where I would usually follow You Shriek with a little Shriekback. It's only polite after all.

A lot of people are willing to overlook shit like this if you're an important part of the scene. Brian wasn't. He was a novelty act. However, he still could've weathered this if he just kept his head down and kept going without bringing it up ever again. He didn't do that. Instead, he spent his time making song after song after song whining about how he'd been canceled and how terrible the intolerant left is. Last year, he made a song about Charlie Kirk and he's donating the proceeds to Turning Point USA.

Yep, and not even an iconic novelty act like Aurelo's. Who can be a bit full of himself and rub people the wrong way at times.
When I was actively DJing I would regularly get people bringing up to me how they wished I wouldn't play X because they did y. And generally if they were someone I knew or regular and I would try to honor that. Especially with consideration to what it was they done. For instance 3teeth or as I tend to call them nowadays I Can't Believe It's Not Mick Gordon. Which I only need small doses of. The head of the band said some stupid shit about people dealing with depression anxiety etc. Which rightfully upset a lot of people who actually deal with it unlike him. Really just a lack of understanding. But nothing like supporting genocide or bigotry overall. If someone requests it I'll play it it's not a huge deal and it's not something they're constantly restating.
And there's plenty of acts like that. But damn yeah I hadn't followed Brian in years at this point. I think the last was what 2016-2018 maybe? I hadn't heard about the Charlie Kirk bullshit. And again I've been ignoring all his whining LOL. But yeah he just wants to be the victim and can't help himself. Well he could help himself he won't help himself.
