Hey again, folks,
So if anyone remembers the post from last year, I never did make the move to SA. It just didn't work out. Now, however, it looks like it's finally going to happen. I'll be renting a house on the far west side of San Antonio. I'm not entirely sure if the home is within city limits or not.
I'm pretty excited, but politically I'm getting more and more nervous about a move to Texas. I got some pretty encouraging advice last year when I posted here, but I thought I'd ask again and see if any opinions had changed in the last year, given everything that's been going on.
Another question I had is that one of the things I'm most excited about is proximity to Mexico. I know it's a few hours away, and a hassle to cross the border, but I love the idea of being able to visit Mexico whenever the mood strikes, for a variety of reasons. How safe is border crossing? Do I need to be concerned about being detained? I'm planning on having a second phone that I take with me on those days, and leaving the main device at home. "Interesting times," I suppose.

I live in Dallas and have family in SA. I think it's the best city in Texas- nice community and there's always a party. Also, you'll be not too far from the coast, which is fun. And Hill Country.

Those do sound like nice perks haha
I haven't lived in an actual city since I was 18. I am very much so looking forward to that again! Lol

Love SA, don't worry about the pollitics too much. Pretty much everyone I've ever met has been nice. Just get out and vote when it's time to.
Can't fix the state if we don't have more voters.
