That's a very common sales tactic though, creating a sense of FOMO (fear of missing out) in the customer to close the sale. Not that I support it, but legitimate businesses do it a lot too.
I have been job hunting for over a year now and the number of jobs that suddenly want a text only interview over Teams and then immediately want to hire is fucking silly.
It's far too easy to recognize. Wage too high, job functions vague. Then the standard "We will send you funds to buy the needed software."
I don't engage with such offers any longer. Always a waste of time.
The scam of course is that those funds will bounce and you are on the hook for buying their shitty software.
