I like hugs. But after meeting a few people that don't like physical touch, I try not to touch anyone. Not even handshakes cuz the pandemic ruined those.

I like hugs but except with a few people who I know quite well I always ask first (and obviously respect their decision).

Mine has warmed up to it and now will occasionally lie her head on you in return when you (gently) hug her. It's heart-melting.
