I âwatchedâ this movie on TV a few times as a kid in the 90s. I always hated it because it didnât make sense to me. Many moons later I realized why, they cut out the part where they all smoke weed together to make it ok to play on TV. Seems like a pretty critical plot point to cut out!
I read that book and learned SO MUCH about the fair, and the guy who was in charge of the landscape and how his eyes were SO BLUE na d how his mouth hurt SO BAD and how his tinnitus was TERRIBLE and learned almost nothing about said devil⊠overall, weird book
Sorry to use a buzzword but itâs the bell curve issue and a scarcity mindset. People who are poor and destitute have a scarcity mindset because they live in real actual scarcity people on the other very far end of rich and privileged have mental illnesses and personality disorders that keep this scarcity mindset alive despite no outside pressure to reinforce it.
Thatâs not mutually exclusive to the fact that men lack metacognition. Not being encouraged to express your emotions isnât the same thing inherently as not having self awareness.
Overall yeah, Iâm a pretty good person. I care about others, I give my time and money to those less fortunate, I try to be kind, non judgmental and helpful to everyone not just people I like. Iâve struggled a lot in my life mentally and physically, I grew up ugly and disabled and as cliche as it is to say it, itâs made me a better person.
