i suspect that he genuinely thinks it's a good idea.
it seems that the epstein class has mastered the ability to find ideologically aligned people to put into position of power and most of those people have no idea what they're enabling.

Many Colombian youth see the benefits of left..ish leadership but the empire's propaganda has been effective. Very few can explain why policies from the previous president Petro were beneficial. Decades of the republican right couldn't be undone in 4 years. Many non-youth celebrate fervently the return of the right. It is sad that El Gran Colombia lost its solidarity/identity and that shows as well with politic for Cuba. Don/Monroe Doctrine is dragging latin america through usa decline.
