definitely desperation and i'm dreading the fact that it has a better than average chance of working; out of millions of service members, someone is likely to have a workable idea.
the us border patrol held us for questioning in separate facilities -- one for each one of us -- for 72 hours when i was 6 years old with immigration officers violently accusing each of us of lying and threatening us with legal action and imprisonment, but i scared so shitless that it all felt like 30 minutes. my sister and i have had to pay thousands of dollars for therapies over decades to overcome it; while my other siblings continue claim that it never happened, but my younger brother's sudden bedwetting immediately afterwards and my oldest sister's embrace of substances and behavior also make it clear that they repressed it.
that experience makes my heart go out to the children that are put in dramatically worse situations like this and i shudder to imagine how much harder they're going to have to fight to overcome this experience; assuming that they don't just repress it an act out instead.
at the very least, it sounds like the spanish are doing better than what the obama administration did.
are you having better luck with librewolf over firefox?
i ask because this is the most likely escape plan i'll enact once firefox's enshittification becames too much to ignore and lemmy's been really good learning from other people's experiences before i take the plunge myself.
unsolicited political opinions are a matter of fact for life out in public and this poorly done burger king example is the one side of this coin with the well done hasbara being the opposite side.
decrying the former while ignoring the latter is a selectively that can only be understood as that culturally ingrained and hasbara supported desire to stick your head in the a sand when it comes to topics you consider undesirable.

that's neat; it sort of reminds of me of the way that the maya counted days
also, thanks for making me aware.
le the AI downvotes roll!!! lol
i was going to say that AI caused the downvotes, but it's clear this sawant is turning into another graham platner clone.
you've either pissed people off or involved AI somehow to get downvotes on something that seems neutral. lol
the lemming's distaste for AI is represented in the downvotes and i'm starting to wonder if it's irrational.

have you vetted this for any tesseract like "features" in it? lol
i came here to say this, but i fully expected the article to go into vaping instead of actual cigarettes.

i don't know where this comes from and i was saying that the bigger variety of backgrounds and opinions always yields more ideas.
i wish i could use any of the tactics that the people have tried, but i get the feeling that it'll all blow back on me.
i get the sinking feeling that this is going to work
not even windows?

it's the capitalist way and it says something that a majority of people are willing to swallow these official narratives.
