Pro tip: if you're going to be late to work, might as well be 'leave the house after 9am' late. Had one of the best drives in this morning because the traffic was all gone.
Late morning from a gherked up night with no dinner and a late bedtime thanks to sick kids.
It's perfect weather for working outside. Cold enough you don't overheat doing heavy work, but not so cold you freeze. Even a bit of sun if you catch it at the right time. I've swept some paths, done a bit of weeding and a bit of cutting back. It should be the same type of weather all weekend too, so I might be able to do a bit of mulching and another trim of the grass as well before the weather turns.
I'm using the ups and downs to get the road base and ground raising done in the sunny weather, get some light compacting in, then LET THE RAIN COME and go smoosh

The entire accounting profession is holding its breath for the implementation of the Anti Money Laundering (AML) rules that kick in on Saturday. If your accountant hasn't contacted you about this, they probably will soon. Cos they have to verify your identity on a regular basis before they can do anything more than process your tax return. And we have to verify their identity before we can do anything for them too. The double handling of simple processes is going to be the true debacle imo. We've automated as much as we can as permitted by the legislation, but there's a limit to what we can do in that respect.
I have covered up the citrus trees and sage against the predicted frost overnight. They are already struggling a bit after a few lighter frosts this year, hopefully this will keep them going. I gave them an encouraging pep talk to try to keep their spirits up until spring gets here too. I'm not sure they believed me.
There's a Youtube video on the baro series of games. They're terrible racing shovelware but they're a good way to get trading cards and other Steam perks to change themes and whatnot. You'd think people wouldn't care but there's a whole economy around skins...
