Yay, it'll be like the bushfires of 2019/2020 but this time we'll all be outside to enjoy the fresh air; boiling hot and full of fire smoke.

I don't think linking to a reddit thread is a great idea.

I really need to work out some kind of shade cloth setup for my apartment balcony. We don't have AC; and when there's a few hot days in a row heat from that balcony is a lot (even with the inside blinds fully closed).

those (and heat) are reasons we moved to dairy country in semi rural Tassie, high rainfall, off a flood plain on a small hill and zero bushfire risk. My gf was a RFS Captain in Northern NSW and fought fires from August though November, full time (took time off work and I paid all the bills)
she still suffers PTSD from it all (flashbacks watching the French and Spanish fires) and had zero pay, as pointed out to her by several coppers as they smirked at her during town evacuations, them being paid and she wasn't.

Oh yay, I can't wait for my state to burn down AGAIN and to have all my hiking and camping trips cancelled... AGAIN. I'm so sick of this shit.

We've been mostly ignoring climate change for 50+ years, so now we get to live with the consequences.

fucked around for decades, can't even be ass'd voting Green to move the Overton Window and do a little and we're now finding out. Hell, ONP has broad support and they literally deny climate change.
