The scout ship is what Beverly’s ship in All Good Things is based on. IIRC both designs are based on an earlier concept design of the original Enterprise.
Bill George based the USS Pasteur/Olympic-class on earlier design work by Matt Jefferies. Indeed, that work was for the original Enterprise, and was discarded because it was felt that the spherical hull was "too bulky."
