California is raising its statewide minimum wage to $17.40 per hour starting January 1, 2027.

I make $21/hr in San Diego county, and it is not nearly enough. This feels performative at best.

That might work in some states, but not California. That's the equivalent of $10 in most other places.

Bottom line: Corporations keep too much profit. They should be required to share 75% of their profits with their employees, on a quarterly basis.

Most people would work much harder at their jobs, if they thought there was a fat bonus every quarter. If it only makes the top guys richer, why bother?
