I really hate when car makers take an older make and completely ruin it's style. If they made a remake of the gen 2 (hell, even a gen 1) eclipse that didn't have trash specs, I'd buy one. I love those cars. Pretending a Nissan leaf is the worthy of the eclipse name is just sad.
Had an 06 Eclipse GT, loved that thing, absolutely hated when I saw they went the Ford route and pulled what they did to Mustang to the Eclipse. Like, I get it, market trends say everyone wants a SUV but like..cmon, people still want affordable sports cars as well.
I still have a 2007 Eclipse convertable and this article just hurts my soul. For ½ second I thought "maybe this is what I'll get to replace it!" and then I clicked the link and saw the pics. Ugh!!
It's nice to see an electric car that isn't just another crossover SUV. Kona, Nero, Prologue, ID4, Mach-E, Blazer they all look like the same vehicle with different badging.
I say this as a person with a Kona EV. I'm really considering the BYD pickup when it comes to Canada. In my small town it will be funny to pull up next to the idiot with the cyber truck in town and have a more functional pickup.
It's just a Leaf with a different chassis. Kind of odd that it is going to have both a NACS and J1772 plug, isn't NACS able to do slow charging or is that some weird tesla shit?

Right, and I get them wanting to make an SUV. Just name it something else. It's a different vehicle after all.

Honestly did not know Mitsubishi still exists.
